Brought to you by Palmarito Coffee and produced at Finca La Montaña, this lot is grown by José Reyes and his family in honour of three generations of dedication to coffee. Palmarito is the name of the rural vereda where José’s father first planted coffee in the 1960s — a tribute to their roots, land, and family legacy.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting José’s son, Julian Reyes, during his visit to Melbourne, introduced to us through a trusted friend. After tasting his coffees, we were genuinely impressed by the quality and intent behind them, securing only a few kilograms of this lot. It’s a true example of a generational farm preserving its family identity while confidently embracing modern processing.

This blend of Tabi, Bourbon Rosado, and Papayo is quietly stunning. Processed through 90 hours of dry fermentation in whole cherry, followed by 40 hours of wet fermentation in mucilage, it achieves remarkable clarity despite its extended development.

Jasmine florals lead the cup, followed by honeydew, white grape, and nectarine. It’s elegant and lifted, carrying the clarity and refinement often associated with Gesha, yet grounded in its own distinct profile. Clean, composed, and seriously impressive.
