From the artisans of Yamanaka - we present the Yasukiyo Wooden Dripper - Urushi series.

Urushi is a natural lacquer derived from the sap of the Urushi tree, a material cherished in Japan for over 9,000 years. When applied by hand in thin layers and cured in humidity, it transforms into a lustrous, glass-like coating that’s both durable and deeply expressive.

Its surface resists water and heat, while developing a soft glow and patina over time—a living finish that evolves with use. This same lacquer has long adorned Japanese furniture, tableware, and art objects, celebrated for its ability to blend beauty with function.

Beneath the lacquer lies the same Yamanaka-shikki foundation—wood turned vertically against the grain to reduce warping and reveal elegant, fine lines unique to every dripper. The result is a timeless union of wood and Urushi—an object that feels alive, connecting you to centuries of Japanese craftsmanship.

Functionally, the dripper features horizontal ribs and a large central hole for optimal flow, compatible with both 1-cup cone and Kalita Wave 155 filters (not 185).
