Proudly introducing the Orea Z1 Brewer. The result of years of research, testing, and collaboration, the Z1 has been described by Orea as the ‘perfect brewer’—and there's good reason why.

Zero Bypass 

At its foundation, the Z1 is a flat-bottom, zero-bypass brewer. Unlike traditional brewers, where water can sneak around the edges of the filter and dilute extraction, the Z1 eliminates bypass entirely. Every drop of water is forced through the coffee bed, giving you clarity, sweetness, and depth without the bitterness, dryness, or hollowness often introduced by channeling. It’s a brewer that maximises flavour by design.

Traditionally, zero-bypass brewers have been painfully slow. The Z1 rewrites that narrative. With its pioneering geometry and a custom-engineered Sibarist filter, it flows with remarkable speed, producing brews that are not just balanced and clean, but also tremendously quick. This means no more six-to-eight-minute slogs—just vibrant, juicy cups in a fraction of the time.

Collaboration 

What makes the Z1 particularly exciting is the spirit of collaboration behind it. It incorporates Melodrip technology to give you complete control over water distribution, ensuring even extractions without unnecessary agitation. It partners with Sibarist to deliver a filter tailored specifically for this brewer, unlocking performance and speed unmatched by generic papers.

Switch Upgrade

In teaming up with Hario, Orea ensured the Z1 isn’t bound to just one way of brewing. With the Hario Switch bundle, you can upgrade the Z1 beyond classic percolation into hybrid brewing—where coffee is first allowed to steep before releasing into a clean, fast flow. This unlocks a whole new flavour experience, with added body and roundness, and can even be taken further into full immersion brewing. It’s a clever way to expand what the Z1 can do without needing to buy an entirely separate brewer.

Travel Pack Upgrade

For those who want to take the Z1 on the go, Orea created a dedicated Travel Pack upgrade. This pack includes a rigid Tritan cup that doubles as a carafe, offering both durability and a clean, glass-like aesthetic. The brewer packs down neatly into a compact form, fitting into the corner of any bag—making it ideal for travel, work, or weekend adventures. With the Travel Pack, the Z1 becomes a portable brewing companion you can take anywhere.

Simple

Despite the engineering behind it, the Z1 is deceptively simple. You don’t need a gooseneck kettle, you don’t need pre-rinsing rituals, and you don’t need to worry about bypass ruining your brew. Insert the filter, add coffee, pour water through the Melodrip, and let the design do the rest. Once you’re done, just knock out the puck and rinse—it’s as clean and uncomplicated as brewing gets.
