Inspired by the V60's classic 60-degree cone shape, the Mugen takes a fresh approach with predominantly flat walls that encourage the paper filter to adhere closely to the dripper's sides. Instead of the traditional diagonal ribs, the Mugen features a unique star-shaped groove pattern to guide the flow of coffee.

Thanks to this design, the Mugen produces a slower drawdown, making it ideal for Hario’s recommended one-pour method. This technique is great for highlighting sweetness.

Crafted from durable AS resin, the Mugen includes a detachable base, offering added versatility. When detached, you can pair the dripper with the Hario Switch base to create a Mugen/Switch hybrid for even more brewing possibilities.
