Colombia - Condor Decaf / Red & Yellow Caturra / EA + Washed (Green Coffee) 1KG

Colombia - Condor Decaf / Red & Yellow Caturra / EA + Washed (Green Coffee) 1KG

Condor Decaf is produced by Elias and Shady Bayter at El Vergel Estate in Fresno, Tolima, Colombia — the same family behind several of the exceptional coffees we feature throughout the Brew Methods Green range.

This lot is composed of Red and Yellow Caturra grown at approximately 1,450 metres above sea level. Rather than relying on exotic varieties or intensive processing, Condor Decaf offers a sweet, balanced and approachable expression of Colombian coffee, specifically selected to perform well after decaffeination.

The coffee undergoes the EA Sugarcane decaffeination process, a method widely used in Colombia that uses naturally derived ethyl acetate alongside water to gently extract caffeine from the green coffee. The process reduces the caffeine content to approximately 0.1%, while aiming to retain as much of the coffee's inherent sweetness and character as possible.

For us, a good decaf shouldn't simply be acceptable "for a decaf" — it should be a coffee you'd happily drink regardless. Condor Decaf delivers exactly that. It's sweet, comforting and versatile, with plenty of body and enough acidity to keep the cup balanced.

This coffee is suited for both espresso and milk-based coffee where its panela-like sweetness and almond character provide plenty of depth. With a more restrained roast approach, it can also produce a clean and enjoyable filter coffee.

It's an excellent option for roasters looking for a dependable specialty decaf that can work as an everyday offering without feeling like a compromise.

Expected flavour profile: Almond, panela, citrus and clove.
