The Orea Brewer has taken the coffee community by storm, recently earning global recognition when Austrian competitor Martin Wölfl used it to win the 2024 World Brewer's Cup Championship.
One of its standout features is its innovative brewing design, which ensures a perfect fit between the paper filter and the brewer walls, eliminating air gaps and maximising extraction. To make this process even easier, Orea has introduced the Negotiator—an open-source, 3D-printable tool designed to help you fold your filter paper with precision and ease, every single time.
Whether you're brewing with the Orea Brewer V3, V4 (Wide or Narrow), the Big Boy Brewer, or experimenting with conical filters on the V4 Wide, Orea has created a Negotiator for every model. They’ve even developed a Conical Filter Folding Tool for the V4 Wide, expanding the brewer's versatility.

Below, you'll find downloadable .STL files for printing your own Negotiator tools. Keep in mind that while these tools are part of an open-source project, you'll need to buy a commercial license from Orea if you plan to print and sell them commercially.
V3 Negotiator
The original Negotiator for the V3 Brewer (works on V2 and also on all flat bottom configurations of the V4 Narrow Brewer. This tool helps you fit or fold many types of filter papers to the inside of the OREA brewers. The original filter-shaping tool, launched 3 years ago.

Designed specifically for the Orea V4 Narrow, it features 4 .STL files in total, allowing you to accomodate for both the classic flat bottom and APEX bottom style of brewing.

V4 Wide Conical Filter Paper Folding Tool
This little tool helps you fold standard V60/conical filters to the geometry of the V4 Wide, simply insert the printed guide into the conical filter and fold along its edge for a perfect fit.
